Job Description Job Title: Electrical Head/Lead Fertilizer Location: (Internation Opportunity) Nigeria, Lagos Department: Projects Electrical Engineering Experience: 20 - 30+ years Industry: Fertilizer / Petrochemical / Chemical / Heavy Industrial Projects Reports To: Project Head Job Summary Looking for an experienced Electrical Head to lead the electrical engineering function of a major fertilizer project. The candidate should have 2530 years of experience in FEED, detailed engineering, project execution, and commissioning for large-scale industrial projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage teams through all project phases. Key Responsibilities Lead the electrical engineering scope from concept to commissioning. Review and oversee FEED, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. Manage detailed engineering activities with internal teams and EPC consultants. Prepare, review, and approve technical documents including SLDs, load lists, power system studies, and design drawings. Evaluate and select electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, and UPS systems. Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS, and other relevant codes. Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, and Process teams for system integration. Support procurement with technical bid evaluations, FATs, and vendor inspections. Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning. Participate in HAZOPs, model reviews, and safety assessments. Ensure cost control, schedule adherence, and quality compliance. Mentor and guide electrical engineers to build team capability. Qualifications B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (M.Tech preferred). 2530 years of experience in large industrial projects (fertilizer, petrochemical, chemical, or similar). Experience in EPC projects including FEED, detailed design, and commissioning. Strong knowledge of power systems, substation design, protection systems, and electrical safety. Proficiency in ETAP, DIALux, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc., preferred.
