About the Role:

We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic Senior Planner to join our Sports category team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the financial, sales and inventory planning strategy for our Sports business across all platforms. You will collaborate closely with the buying, commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams to ensure strong business performance, optimal inventory levels, and accurate forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Merchandise & Financial Planning: Develop and manage end-to-end merchandise and financial plans for the Sports category to:

-Create and drive sales plans.

-Plan and optimize inventory.

-Achieve margin goals.

- Inventory Management:

-Calculate stock requirements based on sales forecasts and manage purchases.

-Plan and monitor replenishments across territories.

- Strategic Collaboration:

-Partner with the buying team to define category assortment, depth, and timing strategies, leveraging historical data and market trends.

-Lead pre-season planning, in-season forecasting, and post-season analysis to inform future buying decisions.

- Performance Monitoring & Insights: Monitor category performance daily, weekly, and monthly, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure smooth stock flow.
- Pricing Strategy: Devise a comprehensive pricing and discount strategy and roadmap to maximize sell-through.
- Data & Reporting: Build and maintain accurate planning tools, reports, and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
- Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior planners or analysts, if applicable.

What You'll Need:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Finance, Merchandising, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of core experience in Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, and forecasting within a multi-branded environment, ideally in Sports or Fashion categories.
- Technical Skills:
- Exposure to data modeling and forecasting knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and planning/reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle Retail, Tableau, Power BI).
- Core Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex datasets, forecast trends, and influence business outcomes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience in eCommerce.
- Language: Proficiency in English.
