Data Scientist / Analyst

Location: Chennai

Experience: 4 to 10 years

Your Role

As a Data Scientist / Analyst, you will play a key role in modeling vessel behavior, analyzing fleet health, and supporting sustainability metrics through advanced analytics and machine learning. You will work with large datasets and cloud-based tools to deliver predictive insights and contribute to operational efficiency and environmental goals.

In this role, you will:

- Model vessel behavior and operational patterns using statistical and machine learning techniques
- Analyze fleet health to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
- Develop predictive maintenance and anomaly detection models
- Support sustainability initiatives by modeling and tracking relevant environmental metrics
- Utilize AWS services such as SageMaker and Athena for scalable data processing and analysis
- Write efficient data queries and scripts using Python, R, and SQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions

Your Profile

- 8–10 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data analysis and modeling
- Experience with machine learning techniques including predictive maintenance and anomaly detection
- Hands-on experience with AWS SageMaker and Athena
- Strong understanding of sustainability metrics and their application in analytics
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
