Job Overview :

We're looking for a highly analytical and results-driven Data Scientist with 5-12 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, machine learning, and data science, combined with crucial domain knowledge in mechanical engineering and cost analysis. You'll be instrumental in transforming engineering and operational data into actionable insights, playing a key role in driving critical business decisions.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.

- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, particularly within mechanical engineering and operational contexts.

- Design, build, and deploy scalable data science solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), leveraging services like BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Cloud Functions.

- Conduct in-depth cost modeling and cost-benefit analysis to optimize operational performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and business teams to understand their challenges and translate them into data science initiatives.

- Create compelling visualizations and presentations to communicate complex findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Drive the full lifecycle of data science projects, from data exploration and feature engineering to model deployment and monitoring.

- Evaluate and experiment with new data science techniques, tools, and technologies to continuously improve our analytical capabilities.

- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data analysis and modeling process.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and data science principles.

- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Cloud Functions.

- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.

- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and their application in data analysis.

- Experience with cost modeling, cost-benefit analysis, or operational performance analytics.

- Ability to work with large datasets and create clear, actionable insights.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
