Job Description Key Responsibilities: Industrial Engineering & Process Planning: - Drive lean and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing lines. - Develop, implement, and improve integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment, and energy. - Conduct work measurement studies, line balancing, and process optimization. - Design efficient workstation layouts incorporating ergonomics, NIOSH standards, and operator efficiency principles. Manufacturing & Equipment Management: - Plan, procure, and commission manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment. - Lead new product introductions and process implementations, ensuring right-first-time (RFT) production at lowest cost. - Execute capacity expansion projects and manage CAPEX investments. - Manage indirect purchases, tool crib, and vendor relationships. Controls Engineering & Automation: - Oversee installation, programming, and upgrades of control systems including PLCs, HMI, motion control, servo systems, and robotics. - Integrate shop floor control systems with MES and ERP platforms. - Implement smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Quality & Problem Solving: - Lead problem-solving and continuous improvement projects using CAPA and quality improvement tools. - Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards, including ISO and IATF certifications. - Conduct statistical analysis, data-driven decision-making, and process documentation. Capacity Planning & Layout Management: - Develop and implement strategic and tactical capacity systems. - Collaborate with operations, NPI, R&D, and sales for production scheduling and ramp planning. - Lead factory layout planning for greenfield and brownfield projects. - Optimize equipment utilization and space allocation for scalability. Team Development & Training: - Mentor and coach young industrial and manufacturing engineers. - Conduct technical training for shop floor teams on processes, ergonomics, and controls.
