Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in manual testing, with a solid understanding of API testing and database testing. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of our applications through thorough test planning, execution, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to develop detailed test cases.
- Perform manual functional, regression, integration, and system testing of web and/or mobile applications.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar, validating endpoints, payloads, response codes, and data flow.
- Perform database testing using SQL to validate backend data.
- Log and track defects in a test management or bug tracking system (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members during the development lifecycle.
- Participate in test case reviews and continuously improve test processes and documentation.
- Contribute to test planning and reporting to ensure quality goals are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 23 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
- Strong experience in API testing (REST, JSON/XML) using tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and ability to write queries for database validation and testing.
- Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have (Optional):

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with automation basics (e.g., Selenium, katalon studio) is a plus.
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
