TCS hiring Role: Linux Desktop Experience: 6-10 Location: Bangalore Must Have: "Perform hardware and software administration for desktops, workstations, and laptops running RedHat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu Linux. Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux-based operating systems and applications. Provide technical support to end-users regarding Linux desktop-related issues, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and resolving technical incidents in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and assist end user issues with networking, printing, drivers, and network storage within the Gnome desktop environment. Conduct regular system maintenance, including OS upgrades, patches, and security enhancements. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights on Linux desktop systems. Monitor system backups and perform archival of data as users leave or systems are replaced. Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues or areas for improvement. Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Linux desktop support."
