Job description Some careers shine brighter than others If you re looking for a career that will help you stand out join HSBC and fulfil your potential Whether you want a career that could take you to the top or simply take you in an exciting new direction HSBC offers opportunities support and rewards that will take you further HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world with operations in 64 countries and territories We aim to be where the growth is enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper and ultimately helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist Markets Operations is responsible for Post Trade IT where affirmation confirmation clearing accounting and settlement takes place across several asset classes including Equities IT Equities Post Trade IT provides the technology that allows Market Operations business area to perform the above functions across several core locations There are high volume trades large applications in scope for this role that is used to settle Equities Cash trades in Asia France In this role you will Extensive experience in software creation coding and delivery coordination of projects with an overall IT industry experience in a role covering project delivery UAT and stakeholders co-ordination and product upgrade management Successful candidates will be part of Market Operations-Equities Post Trade IT team within MSS Markets Securities Services wherein the person will work as Devops Engineer in an IC Individual Contributor role Technical Design development implementation automation and maintenance of equities settlement platform Functional knowledge of Equities lifecycle and specifically Back Office settlement Active participation and contribution in discussions for design and process improvements Ensuring system s compliance to the constantly changing cybersecurity standards by ensuring timely improvements and upgrades of the systems Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions policies internal control standards and external regulatory requirements including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group s standards of ethical behaviour Automation of testing delivery and monitoring processes Build release deployment configuration management and Production Support of production systems Business enhancements or requirements coordination around the back-office processing of Cash Equities System troubleshooting and problem solving across the platform and application domains Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements Preferably worked on an Equities settlement platform for Back Office functionality of Cash Equities Trading Experience with SYN platform product is highly desirable Strong hands-on skills in Java and related frameworks Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language SQL using Oracle Strong knowledge of UNIX scripting Automation skills and experience with system monitoring tools e g Grafana or other equivalent tools Good working experience with DevOps tools like GIT Jenkins JIRA Confluence etc Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process Experience with Business and stakeholders coordination Very strong communication experience and skill You ll achieve more when you join HSBC www hsbc com careers HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are valued respected and opinions count We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development flexible working and opportunities to grow within an inclusive and diverse environment Personal data held by the Bank relating to employment applications will be used in accordance with our Privacy Statement which is available on our website Issued by - HSBC Software Development India
