We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist.
Markets Operations is responsible for Post Trade IT where affirmation, confirmation, clearing, accounting and settlement takes place across a number of asset classes including Equities IT. Equities Post Trade IT provides the technology that allows Market Operations business area to perform the above functions across a number of core locations. There are high volume trades, large applications in scope for this role, that is used to settle Equities Cash trades in Asia & France.Purpose of the role: Extensive experience in software creation, coding, and delivery coordination of projects with an overall IT industry experience in a role covering project delivery, UAT and stakeholders’ co-ordination and product upgrade management.
Successful candidates will be part of Market Operations–Equities Post Trade IT team, within MSS (Markets & Securities Services), wherein the person will work as Devops Engineer in an IC (Individual Contributor) role.
In this role, you will:
Technical Design, development, implementation, automation and maintenance of equities settlement platform In-depth knowledge of J2EE tech stack. Functional knowledge of Equities lifecycle and specifically Back Office settlement Active participation and contribution in discussions for design and process improvements Automation of testing, delivery, and monitoring processes Ensuring system’s compliance to the constantly changing cybersecurity standards by ensuring timely improvements and upgrades of the systems Build, release, deployment, configuration management and Production Support of production systems. Business enhancements or requirements coordination around the back-office processing of Cash Equities. System troubleshooting and problem solving across the platform and application domains.Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions/policies, internal control standards and external regulatory requirements, including the
management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behaviour.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Preferably worked on an Equities settlement platform for Back Office functionality of Cash Equities Trading Min 8 years of experience with ‘hands-on’ on followingJava 8 or above.Spring/Spring Boot/ or TechnologiesMicro-services, REST Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Reactive programming paradigm Working knowledge of Front end technologies like ReactJs with Redux, AngularJS etc. would be plus Strong background on application support Strong knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) using Oracle Strong knowledge of UNIX/Shell scripting Knowledge of JMS (IBM MQ/Active MQ) Knowledge of database tech like MSSQL Server/Oracle database Automation skills and experience with system monitoring tools Grafana or other equivalent tools. Good working experience with DevOps tools like GIT, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence etc… Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Experience with Business and stakeholders’ coordination.
