Consultant – Paediatrician

This role is for one of our clients Industry Hospitals and Health Care Seniority level Associate level Min Experience 1 years Location Cooch Behar JobType full-time About the Role We are hiring a committed and empathetic Paediatrician to join our child-focused healthcare team This role is ideal for a qualified MD who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is passionate about supporting children s health from infancy through adolescence You ll work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver medical care that s both expert-led and deeply human-centered Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care Deliver comprehensive medical evaluations diagnosis and treatment plans for infants children and adolescents Manage acute illnesses chronic pediatric conditions injuries and infections in both inpatient and outpatient settings Conduct developmental screenings and wellness check-ups to track physical and cognitive milestones Prescribe appropriate medications and adjust treatment protocols based on progress and side effects Preventive Medicine Administer immunizations and ensure adherence to recommended vaccination schedules Educate families about nutrition hygiene physical activity disease prevention and safety practices tailored to pediatric needs Counsel parents on managing common childhood concerns including sleep behavior growth and learning Multidisciplinary Collaboration Collaborate with pediatric specialists nurses physiotherapists psychologists and nutritionists to ensure coordinated and holistic care Refer patients to specialized services as required and follow up on care continuity Emergency Acute Response Provide urgent care for pediatric emergencies and participate in neonatal and pediatric resuscitations when needed Rotate in hospital shifts including on-call responsibilities for emergencies Medical Documentation Ethics Maintain clear and accurate records in EMRs for diagnoses treatment plans prescriptions and follow-ups Ensure medical decisions are aligned with best practices clinical guidelines and ethical standards Required Qualifications MD in Paediatrics from a recognized medical institution Valid registration license from the respective state or national medical council 1 to 6 years of clinical pediatric experience post-MD Essential Skills Proficient in diagnosing and managing a broad range of pediatric conditions Comfortable in both outpatient and inpatient pediatric care environments Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with children and reassure anxious caregivers Empathetic and child-sensitive approach to care delivery Familiarity with pediatric emergency care protocols and infection control practices Preferred Attributes Experience in neonatal care pediatric intensive care PICU NICU or pediatric sub-specialties is advantageous Exposure to child-friendly communication tools digital health platforms and EMR systems A team player committed to clinical excellence and family-centered care
