Conducting thorough examinations on new-borns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development Examining sick children and reaching an informed diagnosis Prescribing medications and giving detailed instructions for administration Conduct regular thorough examinations on new-borns and young children to check and record their health and normal physical development Examine sick children to determine their condition and ask intuitive questions to gather information about symptoms Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and individual medical history Prescribe medications and give detailed instructions for administration Prescribe and interpret appropriate lab tests to gain more information for possible infections or abnormalities Prepare and administer vaccines according to the governmental vaccination plan Examine and treat injuries and refer the little patients to physicians of other disciplines when necessary e g surgeons ophthalmologists orthopaedists etc Advise parents on children s diet exercise and disease preventive measures Keep updated records of patients illnesses surgeries or other medical episodes allergic shocks injuries etc Keep abreast of advancements in paediatrics and best practices by attending seminars and conferences Examines infants adolescents and young adults to evaluate their growth and development Evaluates patients to diagnose injuries illnesses and developmental problems Orders performs and interprets diagnostic tests such as lab work and X-rays to gather medical information and reach a diagnosis Prescribes or administers treatments such as medications vaccinations and other therapies Gathers and documents patients medical histories Advises patients and their families on proper diet exercise and disease prevention and treatment Discusses procedures and test results with patients and their families or guardians Tracks patients conditions over time and adjusts treatments as needed Documents diagnoses and medical impressions for record-keeping and billing purposes Performs rounds at hospitals to check on patients unable to visit office Manages nursing staff and delegates tasks appropriately Refers patients to paediatric specialists as needed Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 100 000 00 - 168 534 92 per month Work Location In person
