Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and result-driven Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance within the organization. The ideal candidate will lead a team of accountants, manage financial reporting, monitor internal controls, and collaborate with other departments to drive financial efficiency. This position plays a key role in maintaining the company’s financial health, ensuring timely reporting, accurate ledger management, and successful audits. General Accounting Operations Supervise and manage daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. Ensure timely posting of all accounting transactions and month-end closing of books. Maintain accuracy in journal entries, ledger maintenance, and trial balance reporting. Monitor cash flows and working capital requirements regularly. 2. Financial Reporting Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Review all financial reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards. Submit MIS (Management Information Systems) reports to senior leadership in a timely manner. Support the preparation of the company’s annual budget and forecast planning. 3. Taxation & Compliance Ensure timely filing of statutory returns including GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, and Income Tax. Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for tax assessments, return filings, and advisory. Maintain records and documentation to support tax filings and ensure audit readiness. Keep abreast of changing tax laws and regulations. 4. Internal Controls & Audit Design and implement internal controls to prevent errors, fraud, or regulatory non-compliance. Oversee internal and external audit processes and coordinate with auditors. Review accounting policies and procedures and recommend improvements for efficiency. Ensure compliance with statutory and financial policies, internal control procedures, and corporate governance norms. 5. Team Leadership Supervise, mentor, and train a team of junior accountants and accounts assistants. Review work performed by the team to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Conduct periodic performance evaluations and provide professional development guidance. Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining overall control of financial functions. 6. Vendor & Client Coordination Coordinate with vendors and customers for reconciliation of balances and payments. Monitor receivables and payables to ensure healthy cash flow.
