Job Summary

The Supply Chain role at Asian Paints is focused on ensuring the industrial health and safety of employees at the plant. This involves conducting regular audits, inspections, and training programs to promote a safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety induction programs for new employees and continuous training for all staff
  • Organize mock drills for emergency situations
  • Attend safety meetings and follow up on action points
  • Communicate safety arrangements through various channels, including displays, signs, magazines, and reports
  • Participate in setting safety goals, improvement projects, and promotional activities
Safety Audits and Inspections:
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and share observation reports
  • Oversee statutory inspections for lifting tools, pressure vessels, and equipment
  • Comply with ESS and GRC portal requirements
  • Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions
  • Process hazard identification and risk assessment
Safety and Fire Control System:
  • Maintain good condition of safety guards, interlocks, hand tools, and power tools
  • Ensure 100% compliance with work permit system and safe isolation procedures
  • Monitor hazardous substances and control their use
  • Procure and maintain personal protective equipment
  • Monitor noise, ventilation, and dust levels
Safety Performance and Measurement:
  • Report all incidents, including near misses, on the ESS system
  • Investigate incidents and maintain incident trend analysis data
  • Recognize and manage potential loss areas
Workplace Safety:
  • Ensure hygiene and 5S practices at the workplace
