Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Design and Planning Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and implementation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across various construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, project planning experience, and proficiency in MEP software such as HAP and AutoCAD. A commitment to code compliance, efficiency, and interdisciplinary collaboration is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MEP Design & System Coordination:

- Develop integrated design solutions for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Conduct load calculations, pressure drops, power supply sizing, and water demand analysis.
- Plan space allocation for plant rooms, risers, and service routes.
- Ensure optimal system sizing and efficient equipment selection.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to achieve aligned project goals.
- Resolve inter-disciplinary clashes to ensure seamless MEP integration.

2. Technical Documentation:

- Prepare and review BOQs, technical specifications, and design documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of design iterations, approvals, and updates.

3. Compliance & Standards:

- Ensure adherence to applicable codes (e.g., NBC, ISHRAE, ASHRAE, IEC, NFPA, IS codes).
- Stay updated with evolving regulatory and technical standards.

4. Project Planning & Execution Support:

- Coordinate MEP deliverables with the overall project schedule.
- Provide technical support during construction phases, including RFI responses and site meetings.
- Track progress and ensure timely submission of design packages.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP design and planning.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Familiarity with design and simulation tools such as HAP and AutoCAD.
- Excellent coordination, time management, and problem-solving skills.
