Job Description Architect Digital Applications Location: Mumbai About the Role We are seeking a high-impact technical leader to drive strategy, architecture, and execution across a large, complex digital application ecosystem. This role is not a pure people management or MBA-driven position - it demands deep technical expertise, architectural vision, and the ability to lead large-scale modernization programs hands-on. The ideal candidate combines product thinking, technical depth, and architectural leadership with a strong ability to manage mission-critical platforms across web, mobile, and enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Leadership & Governance - Lead the Digital Applications portfolio with a focus on platform stability, scalability, and security. - Define and execute technology roadmaps and modernization strategies. - Establish and enforce strong governance frameworks to ensure SLA adherence, operational efficiency, and proactive risk mitigation. - Act as the technical authority, not just a delivery manager. 2. Product & Platform Ownership - Own the end-to-end lifecycle of digital products across web, mobile, and enterprise systems. - Translate business and regulatory needs into scalable technical solutions. - Ensure structured change management with security and compliance embedded by design. - Drive platform evolution with a clear modernization agenda. 3. Architecture & Technical Direction - Provide architectural oversight across front-end, middleware, integration, and cloud landscapes. - Guide solution design using modern frameworks, cloud-native patterns, and DevSecOps practices. - Ensure secure, high-performance, and resilient architectures. - Actively review, design, and guide technical implementations-not just delegate. 4. Team & Stakeholder Management - Lead a team of developers, analysts, and support engineers. - Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, OEM vendors, and cloud partners to deliver robust solutions. - This role requires technical leadership, not administrative management. Technology Landscape - Front-end & Web: Angular, .NET MVC, SharePoint, AEM - Mobile: React Native (iOS & Android) - Cloud & Infra: AWS, Azure - Other: COTS platforms, API integrations, DevOps pipelines Qualifications & Experience - 1520 years of experience in enterprise application delivery, including 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles within the financial services domain. - Proven expertise in modern web and mobile architectures, cloud platforms, security frameworks, and enterprise integration patterns. - Strong track record in leading large-scale, customer-facing digital platforms, with demonstrated impact on platform scalability, stability, and security. - Experience working in regulatory and compliance-driven environments. - Exceptional technical decision-making, architectural leadership, and stakeholder engagement capabilities. - This is a hands-on technology role not suited for profiles focused solely on people management or non-technical strategy. Educational Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunication, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized institution. - Master's degree (M.Tech/MS or MBA with strong technology foundation) preferred but not mandatory. - Additional advanced coursework or certifications in: - Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Computing, or Information Security - DevSecOps, Agile, and Cloud-native architectures Certifications (Preferred) - TOGAF - AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert - CISSP or CISM Preferred Skills - Demonstrated experience in modernization initiatives, cloud adoption, and DevSecOps. - Proficiency in agile delivery models and enterprise integration patterns. - Ability to review code, design scalable systems, and technically guide teams.
