Toast is driven by building the all-in-one restaurant platform that helps restaurants operate their business increase sales engage guests and keep employees happy Toast connects employees operations and guests on a reliable easy-to-use platform so restaurateurs can stay one step ahead of a rapidly evolving hospitality market We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic team This is a new team and as a Senior Systems Engineer you will be building new software technologies You will be working closely with the PM Developer QA Admin team and internal business customers to build software solutions on the Salesforce platform The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in software development be personable and a natural helper with a customer service minded philosophy thrive in a fast-paced and learning-intensive environment and deliver solutions on challenging problems The candidate will be comfortable working autonomously and wants to see the team succeed and gets satisfaction from knowing that he or she played a critical role About this roll Responsibilities Be part of a team working collaboratively with other Developers Product Managers QA and System Administrator building product lifecycle management applications using modern web technologies Salesforce Platform Propel and or other product lifecycle management software Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives and develop and configure Product Catalog in Propel built on Salesforce including SKU management and processes to meet business needs and support product SKU release processes Work closely with internal pilot customers to ensure successful software delivery and on-going product business support Design and develop configure customize and implement Salesforce system to meet business requirements Provide technical expertise and support for software products including troubleshooting and resolving issues Work closely with product team to analyze ways of achieving the end goal identifying areas for improvement across the product solution set and then moving forward to integrate these solutions Keep up to date with the latest industry trends technologies and best practices Do you have the right ingredients Requirements Bachelor s degree in computer science engineering supply chain or a related field 6 years of high proficiency experience in developing software Proficient in building solutions configuration customization on the Salesforce Platform using technology stack provided by Salesforce using LWC Flows Triggers Apex Platform Events Working experience using Git Github and DevOps CI CD processes Experience of API principals and building integration using REST SOAP protocols Experience with PLM and data migration is a plus Working experience of an agile mindset focused on delivering usable software Proficiency troubleshooting issues Leverage Developer Console Workbench and other troubleshooting tools Analyze Salesforce Debug Logs for errors and performance issues Proactively seeks out and keeps up-to-date on Salesforce technologies related tools and best practices Proactive in highlighting issues concerns and blocker to ensure timely delivery Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment Flexible to manage the working time within the US time zone Special Sauce Nice to Haves Good to have propel package experience Full stack software development experience Proficient in one or more programming languages Java or Python Experience using Jira or similar Experience using version control tools GitHub Experience using Salesforce CI CD tools -
