Business Analyst Role Overview Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs and technology solutions within IT delivery projects. This role combines traditional business analysis responsibilities with Product Owner activities, ensuring that requirements are well-defined, prioritized, and delivered to maximize business value. The individual will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams, and leadership to drive clarity, alignment, and successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Design - Conduct detailed requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders. - Create Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flows. - Design high-level and functional solution approaches for inputs to architects and developers. - Facilitate workshops for requirement validation and solution walkthroughs. - Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications for development teams. - Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for proposed solutions. - Support testing and validation of delivered solutions to ensure alignment with requirements. - Work closely with QA teams to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and ensure quality delivery. - Support UAT by clarifying requirements and addressing defects. Product Ownership Support - Understand product vision and roadmap in collaboration with business and technology teams. - Support PO in managing product backlog, ensuring prioritization based on business value and technical feasibility. - Support PO in writing/refining user stories, acceptance criteria, and ensure clarity for development teams. - Act as the voice of the customer during delivery, ensuring solutions meet user needs and deliver measurable outcomes. - Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and participate in Agile ceremonies. Stakeholder Management - Build strong relationships with business sponsors, delivery managers, and technical teams. - Manage expectations and ensure alignment between business objectives and delivery outcomes. Required Skills & Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field (Master's preferred). Experience - 8+ years as a Business Analyst in IT delivery projects. - Proven experience as a BA or similar role in Agile environments. - Strong understanding of Banking business and Payments domain Technical Expertise - Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies - Ability to work with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and other BA/PO tools. Soft Skills - Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
