SENIOR MANAGER (PHYSICAL DESIGN) The Role AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. You will manage a Silicon Engineering group and innovate with internal teams and external partners to create the next generation of computing technologies. The Person The successful candidate for this position will join a rapidly growing organization and be an integral member of a skilled and motivated team. - The job will involve building the next generation devices for Xilinx using a leading edge SoC and FPGA implementation flow. The successful candidate will have physical implementation responsibility for these next generation FPGA devices. - Job Responsibilities - Responsible for full chip physical implementation - Build and manage a world-class physical implementation team - Ownership includes physical implementation, design closure/signoff, DFM, IR analysis and integration into a custom fabric - Physical implementation planning and delivery - Interacting with physical design teams and digital design teams across multiple geographic locations - Coach and resolve technical issues of team members The ideal candidate has experience leading others in technical and managerial settings. You also have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills. Key Responsibilities - Responsibilities include Physical Implementation, Design Closure & Signoff, DFM, IR analysis and integration into custom fabric. - Build, manage & lead a world-class physical implementation team. - Meet schedule commitments and provide strong support to customers - Collaborate with multi-functional leaders to drive AMD's success Preferred Experience - A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team - Strong mentoring and coaching skills - Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams - Prior experience in optimizing performance (client, server, system, or embedded) - Strong communications skills. Able to summarize complex problems for executives as well as drill down to details with architects and engineers - Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments Academic Credentials - Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering with 18+Yrs of exp Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
