Job Description Job Description As a Senior Technical Specialist within our Nokia Converged Charging R&D team in Gurgaon, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced features for the Nokia Converged Charging product. Your extensive Java expertise will be essential in analyzing, designing, and implementing solutions for complex customer-reported issues, while also contributing to innovative feature development. How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn - Understand and refine customer or internal product feature requirements, proposing design alternatives that ensure comprehensive coverage of both functional and non-functional aspects - Work within agile sprint teams to plan, design, code, and unit-test, including automating JUnit tests and ensuring appropriate code coverage - Analyze and fix bugs reported during functional, non-functional, and integration testing phases - Interact closely with developers from other teams to provide comprehensive integrated solutions and support deployment and testing activities - Analyze, debug, and fix bugs reported from customer labs and production systems, including providing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective actions - Assist in conducting interviews, provide on-job training, mentor junior team members, and suggest/develop new tools and process improvements for enhanced efficiency - Reply to customer queries, assist the services team, work independently while providing accurate status reports, and demonstrate a flexible, proactive, and self-motivated approach under pressure Key Skills And Experience Must have: - Bachelor's or Master's degree (Telecom/Computers/IT) or MCA with 8 to 10+ years of relevant experience in Java, including J2EE application server environments, Java Design patterns, and various Java Frameworks. - Expertise in Web Services (REST, SOAP, XML), Data Structures and Algorithms, data modeling techniques, and designing/coding for scalability. - Hands-on experience with Linux OS-based systems and strong debugging skills using IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ - Experience with Diameter/4G interfaces (mainly base protocol, Gy, Sy, and Ro interfaces) Good to have: - Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTP2, HTTPS and Web Technologies (HTML, Javascript, JQuery) - Knowledge of Maven, Ant or Gradle Scripts - Must be able to use AI-assisted development and vibe coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Cursor, or similar.
