You can find full press coverage at https://kore.com/press/ POSITION SUMMARY: As a Senior Release Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and managing the release of software or product updates. You work closely with development teams, product managers, quality assurance teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful and efficient software releases to the cloud. To be effective in this role, you as a Release Manager should possess the skills such as Attention to detail, Risk Management, Change Management among others. In this role you are expected to use Jira and hence an advance knowledge on Jira software is ideal for this role. LOCATION: Hyderabad (Work from Office) Responsibilities - Plan, coordinate, and execute releases for a multi-tenant Platform as a Service (PaaS) product across cloud, VPC, and on-premises environments. - Continuous improvement to streamline release management processes, policies, and standards and identify automation opportunities. - Create and maintain release schedules for bi-weekly patch releases and quarterly major releases. - Develop deployment instructions for upgrades across versions and collaborate with the DevOps team. - Conduct risk assessments and mitigate potential disruptions during release cycles. - Coordinate release readiness activities, including testing and validation. - Manage release documentation, including release notes and deployment guides. - Oversee smooth deployment of software updates across deployment models. - Monitor release progress and address issues and dependencies. - Communicate release status and potential impact to stakeholders. - Conduct a retrospective soon after a release and draft action items to address improvement areas and track them to closure. Qualifications / Skills Required - 7+ Years of Relevant Experience in Change and Release Management and Jira. - Proven experience as a Release Manager in a product company. - Strong understanding of release management principles and best practices. - Superior knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies. - Proficiency in Jira Confluence is a must. - Excellent project management and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication and collaboration abilities. - Attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. - Jira Knowledge Advanced skills - Jira Confluence - Advanced skills - Agile knowledge Scrum and/ or Kanban. Having SAFe knowledge is an added advantage. - Certification in one of the following is a must: - Scrum/ Kanban/ SAFe - A good understanding of ITIL v4 is a Must, while having a certification is an added advantage. Education Qualification - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering / Information Technology OR Master's in computer applications
