Job Description About the role We are seeking an experienced Arabic Translator to support the real-time translation of live sports commentary on a 6-month contract. This role is essential in ensuring our Arabic-speaking audience enjoys seamless and accurate coverage during live sporting events. Key Responsibilities: - Translate live sports commentary from English to Arabic in real time, maintaining accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance. - Collaborate with commentary and production teams to ensure smooth broadcast delivery. - Review and edit translated content for quality and consistency. - Adapt language to suit diverse audiences while preserving the excitement and tone of live sports. - Provide post-event translation support for highlights, summaries, and related content if required. Requirements: - Native or near-native fluency in Arabic (written and spoken). - Strong command of English with proven translation/interpreting skills. - Prior experience in live translation, preferably in sports commentary or broadcasting. - Deep understanding and passion for sports, with the ability to quickly grasp game flow and terminology. - Excellent communication skills, quick thinking, and ability to perform under pressure in a live environment.
