Job Description

The Assistant Manager Commissioning Support will be responsible for overseeing all commissioning and testing activities related to new projects across India and international locations. This includes supporting engineering teams with Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning. The position also involves the development and implementation of commissioning plans and ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of power generation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and prepare new project Request for Proposals (RFPs) related to testing (FAT & SAT), pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Review all testing and commissioning documents and assumptions before bid submission.
- Discuss project details with the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor post-bid to ensure all assumptions are incorporated into the project plan.
- Support EPC contractors to integrate the commissioning plan/schedule into the overall project plan.
- Provide technical support during the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of electrical equipment and support EPC teams during the Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and commissioning.
- Visit sites across India and overseas during various phases of the project, including construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Develop clear testing and commissioning plans and procedures.
- Document all commissioning and testing activities.
- Support EPC teams to facilitate plant handover to the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team after commissioning and punch point closure.
- Provide support for evaluating new vendors from a technical perspective.
- Maintain knowledge of various industry standards (IS, IRC, ASCE, ISO, BS) relevant to engineering deliverables.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of PV plant and substation (up to 400 KV) testing and commissioning.

Qualifications:

- Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech/MTech or equivalent from an AICTE-recognized University).
- Experience: 8-10 years of relevant work experience in the power generation sector with specific expertise in testing and commissioning.
- Experience in testing and commissioning of switchyards and PV plants, including overseas project testing.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
