Job Description Skills: Facility Management (FM), Budget Management, Vendor Management, Health & Safety compliance, Project Management, Problem Solving, Job Summary The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and security of the mall to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for shoppers and tenants. This role involves managing facilities staff, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities - Facility Oversight: - Manage all aspects of the mall's facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. - Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. - Maintenance Management: - Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all mall systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.). - Coordinate emergency repairs and response plans. - Vendor Coordination: - Manage relationships with external service providers and contractors. - Oversee contracts and ensure services are delivered on time and within budget. - Safety & Security: - Ensure the mall complies with all health and safety regulations. - Collaborate with security personnel to maintain a safe environment for all patrons and staff. - Budget Management: - Develop and manage the facilities budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities. - Prepare financial reports related to facility operations. - Team Leadership: - Supervise and train facilities staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance. - Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork. - Tenant Relations: - Serve as the point of contact for tenants regarding facility issues and concerns. - Facilitate communication between tenants and management to resolve operational challenges. Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field. - Minimum 10 years of experience. - 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a retail or mall environment. - Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance processes and safety regulations. - Excellent organizational and project management. - Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in facilities management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Skills - Experience in budgeting and financial management. - Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, BOMA). - Familiarity with environmental sustainability practices. Working Conditions - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
