Position Summary Kumaraguru Institutions, a leading institution in Coimbatore with excellence in Mechanical, Mechatronics, and Automotive programs, seeks a Program Director for the Manufacturing Technology Practicum (MTP). This leadership role will architect and lead the development of a transformative MTP program, aligning with India's manufacturing vision and Advanced Digital Production Intelligent Manufacturing (ADPIM) technologies. As the head, you will partner with an academic department to bridge industry skills gaps through Graduate Engineering Certification, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs. Key Responsibilities : - Define and execute the MTP strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with emerging technologies and national workforce needs in automotive/EV and deep-tech manufacturing. - Oversee program design, development & implementation for future workforce, career progression, including budget/resource management, and scaling experiential learning like internships/apprenticeships across Kumaraguru campuses with Industry partnerships. - Forge strategic partnerships with industrial companies; represent Kumaraguru atforums to drive strategic engagements, placements and curriculum relevance. - Mentor teams, monitor KRAs (e.G., curriculum evolution, quality assurance), and catalyse innovation to position Kumaraguru as a talent transformation leader for the manufacturing sector. Qualifications & Competencies : - 15+ years in advanced manufacturing/ADPIM sectors (automotive, Industry 4.0); deep networks and sector knowledge essential – formal Master's/PhD preferred but not mandatory if backed by proven impact. - Ambitious Leader with aspiration to shape education; experience in program strategy, stakeholder engagement, and tech integration (e.G., IIoT, Digital Twins). - Strong in strategic planning, team development, and financial acumen
