THE ROLE: We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer who is results-driven and responsible for evaluating software solutions to ensure they meet specifications and requirements before being released to our customers. The Senior Software Test Engineer needs to identify functional, performance, or usability issues and suggest resolutions. Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Additionally, the Senior Software Test Engineer ensures that testing procedures comply with any required industry-specific standards. Participates in designing and implementing testing processes and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of the Product to understand the requirements and client issues. This role also expects the person to help other junior employees. This person needs to be committed to constant growth of knowledge and skills through a combination of company and self-driven work. The primary objective is to deliver a high-quality product to our customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - The Sr Software Test Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end testing activities. - Develop and execute test plans consisting of both manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications. - Identify, troubleshoot, report, and track software defects and issues. - Perform functional, performance, and regression testing of software products. - Report test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders and work on the resolution. - Provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the software development process across teams. - Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools. - Active participation in planning, analysis, and estimation of backlog requirements. - Configure test environments with different platform combinations for testing. - Ability to work in a close team environment and engage with other departments. - Able to work with minimal supervision and still meet job requirements and tight deadlines. - Ability to help other junior employees. - Learn a performance testing tool (if new to performance testing) and run the performance test cases. WHO YOU ARE: - A bachelor's degree and prior work-related experience OR equivalent - 4-6 years of related professional experience in Software testing - Good understanding of SDLC and STLC - Hands-on experience in functional, systems testing, including Test Planning, Test Cases Design, Test Data Setup, Defect Management, Test Execution, Traceability Matrix, and Test Metrics, Test Automation - Knowledge of tools like Microsoft Azure DevOps is highly desired. - Knowledge and experience using Microsoft SQL Server Database and SQL queries is preferable. - Knowledge and experience in test automation (preferably TestComplete), performance testing (LoadRunner is a plus). - Excellent communication skills and an ability to effectively collaborate with all levels. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to both analyze and troubleshoot issues around product, third-party software, and databases. - Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet internal and external deadlines. - Results and quality oriented with exceptional attention to detail. - Ability to work independently under minimal supervision in Agile/Scrum methodology. - Previous experience with Reconciliation and/or month-end close applications is preferred NICE TO HAVE: - Excellent interpersonal skills - Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities - Desire to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment - Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills - Strong writing and communication skills - Continuous improvement mindset - Creative and Innovative thinking - Embraces change, growth, and evolution Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Trintech has offices located across the United States, India, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, and Singapore, as well as strategic partners in South Africa, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific At our core, Trintechers stand committed to fostering a culture rooted in our core values Humble, Empowered, Reliable, and Open.
