THE ROLE: We are seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer who is results-driven and responsible for evaluating software solutions to ensure they meet specifications and requirements before being released to our customers. The Senior Software Test Engineer needs to identify functional, performance, or usability issues and suggest resolutions. Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications. Additionally, the Senior Software Test Engineer ensures that testing procedures comply with any required industry-specific standards. Participates in designing and implementing testing processes and best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams of the Product to understand the requirements and client issues. This role also expects the person to help other junior employees. This person needs to be committed to constant growth of knowledge and skills through a combination of company and self-driven work. The primary objective is to deliver a high-quality product to our customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - The Sr Software Test Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end testing activities. - Develop and execute test plans consisting of both manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality against requirements and specifications. - Identify, troubleshoot, report, and track software defects and issues. - Perform functional, performance, and regression testing of software products. - Report test results and defects to the development team and other stakeholders and work on the resolution. - Provide suggestions and feedback to improve the quality of the software development process across teams. - Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools. - Active participation in planning, analysis, and estimation of backlog requirements. - Configure test environments with different platform combinations for testing. - Ability to work in a close team environment and engage with other departments. - Able to work with minimal supervision and still meet job requirements and tight deadlines. - Ability to help other junior employees. - Learn a performance testing tool (if new to performance testing) and run the performance test cases.
