Job Description Job Description Summary Role will be based out to Gurugram to support North Operations and SCM Operations Lead ,based out of HO on SCM functional matters Job Description Job Title: Operations Manager Location: Gurgaon India Experience: 7-10 years Industry: Supply Chain, Medical Devices Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in supply chain management, particularly in the medical device industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large 3PL warehousing spaces, multimodal transportation (Ocean/Air/Road), and a deep understanding of customs and EXIM procedures. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills and the ability to lead a diverse team. Key Responsibilities - Logistics Operations Excellence: Ensure on-time execution, minimize losses, damage, scrap, and manage track & trace, freight payment, DC quality, and customer-related metrics. Should have handled or fulfilled SCM budget /cost objectives with proven track record for delivering cost savings. - Collaboration: Work with supply chain teams locally and internationally to enhance delivery performance, quality, and cost efficiency . Experience in cross functional/business projects beyond supply chain is an added advantage. - Process Standardization: Act as the country process expert to drive standardization and identify areas for improvement within the supply chain function. Develop operational SOPs with a focus on customer experience improvement and speed to market . - Project Management: Lead initiatives and projects within the supply chain domain, collaborating with various stakeholders. Should be well versed in Kaizen initiatives. A certification in Project Management, Kaizen would be preferred. - Inventory Management: Ensure material supply meets customer requirements and maintain inventory levels to ensure inventory accuracy. - Customer Success: Resolve escalated customer queries and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and win as One BD. Manage internal and external customers. Display behaviors around Customer wins and problem =-solving approach. - Vendor Management & Procurement Negotiations & Contract Management : Manage freight forwarders, customs house agents, logistics service providers, and conduct regular business reviews. A prior experience in procurement negiotions would be an added benefit. - Compliance: Ensure adherence to trade compliance and other regulatory requirements. Required Skills And Experience - Supply Chain Management: Experience in 3PL, distribution, customs, EXIM, and transportation. - People Management: Proven ability to manage teams of 8-10 people or more. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP ECC 6.0/JDE, Business Intelligence, and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project, SharePoint, Power Automate apps). - Certifications Good Warehouse Practices, Process Excellence, PMP would be preferred. - Digital Tools: Knowledge of Power BI and other essential digital tools. - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with demonstrated financial acumen for SCM Budget preparation, analytics, and business case development. - Project Management: Ability to manage large-scale projects in a diverse, matrixed, multi-cultural environment. - Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Problem-Solving/Critical Thinking: Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and solve complex problems. - AI/ML Knowledge: Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. - Multi-tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and oversee operations effectively. Qualifications - Education: Degree from a premier B-school. - Experience: 7-10 years in the supply chain domain, preferably in the medical device industry.
