- As a Senior Business Intelligence Developer for the Data and Analytics team, you will work within a Professional Services team participating in a developer capacity for BI initiatives in our customer s data platform on Guidewire Cloud.
- You will work with our customers, partners, and other Guidewire team members and participate in report rationalization activities, configure and enhance Guidewire packaged solutions content, perform knowledge transfer activities to enable our customer business user and analyst communities maximize value from their investment in Guidewire Data Platform . You will also provide inputs on estimation guidance, assumptions, acceptance criteria for BI and Analytics User Stories and coordinate with the PMO organization. You will utilize best practices for design, development and delivery of customer projects.
- You will share knowledge with the wider Guidewire Data and Analytics team and facilitate the build out of packaged content offerings for licensing by our customer and SI Partner communities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Able to derive technical processes from Business Requirements Documents and collaborate with the Data Engineering team to assign appropriate development sequences based on your knowledge & experience.
- Participate in Inception Sessions to help define consensus on project scope, and generate user stories with acceptance criteria for agreed upon BI and Analytics scope items.
- Assist and actively contribute to efforts for harvesting project collateral to build out packaged solutions to enable repeatability.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and drive
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment

Qualifications:

- Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 5+ years in delivery type role in the Business Intelligence domain for the Financial Services sector.
- Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting platforms like ThoughtSpot, Kibana, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, and Business Objects with at least 2 years of practical experience in at least one.
- At least 1 - 2 years of experience working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements.
- At least 2 + years of working with Kimball type Dimensional Models in the Financial Services Sector.
- Familiar with Property and Casualty Insurance concepts
- Basic understanding of data processing concepts and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, and Transform) concepts.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Experience working with different cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
