Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – FOGSI Digital Health Centre Location: Mumbai (FOGSI Headquarters, Lower Parel) About FOGSI The Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI) is one of the largest professional bodies of doctors in India, representing over 45,000 obstetricians and gynaecologists across the country. FOGSI plays a key role in advancing women’s health and shaping clinical practice, policy, and training in maternal and newborn health. About Koita Foundation (KF) KF partners with leading academic institutions, hospitals, healthcare technology companies, and NGOs to drive Digital Health adoption in India. In 2021, KF partnered with IIT Bombay, to establish the Koita Centre for Digital Health (www.kcdh.iitb.ac.in ). In 2022, KF partnered with Tata Memorial Centre and National Cancer Grid to establish the Koita Centre for Digital Oncology (www.kcdo.in). In 2024, KF partnered with the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) to establish the Koita Centre for Digital Diabetology ( KCDD). KF is working on multiple Digital Health initiatives on a national scale, e.g., working with the Government of India’s ABDM initiative (www.abdm.gov.in) on their national roll-out, supporting NABH (www.nabh.co), India’s large accreditation body for hospitals, with their Digital Health initiatives. Role Overview FOGSI, in collaboration with Koita Foundation (KF), is establishing a Digital Health Centre to accelerate digital health adoption in maternal and newborn health. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Centre for Digital Maternal & Child Care (CDMC), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the strategic vision of FOGSI’s Digital Health initiative. The CEO will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the Centre’s activities, with a focus on advancing digital health adoption to improve maternal, newborn, and reproductive healthcare across India. You will work closely with FOGSI leadership, members, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure impactful outcomes. Vision and Focus Areas for CDMC Obstetrics & gynaecology is changing rapidly worldwide, and the use of digital tools and technologies is key in driving this change – improving quality, access, and cost of care. Digital technologies are being used across the entire patient’s journey – screening, diagnostics, treatment, home care, and prevention & management of complications. Digital technologies are being used in maternal & women’s health care to: ● Provide tools for clinicians (incl. Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), clinical decision support, evidence-based guidelines, image analytics & AI/ML, personalized medicine) ● Enable integrated care for patients (incl. screening, telemedicine, remote monitoring, medication adherence, patient engagement, and patient education) ● Track quality of care delivery (clinical quality metrics, patient-reported outcomes) ● Share data, patient care, and best practices across health facilities (incl. data interoperability, and disease registries), Digital Health Adoption Handbook to support providers ● Engage with healthcare technology companies to build/test new solutions (incl. research, clinical trial automation, patient matching, real-world evidence, AI/ML) ● Collaborate with insurance companies and government (incl. health policy, reimbursements) ● Create a marketplace of FOGSI Validated Digital Health Solutions ● Support research and leverage healthcare data for public policy CDMC’s Vision is to build a digitally enabled ecosystem for providers, hospitals and expecting mothers that improves outcomes in maternal and women’s health by supporting the responsible, scalable, and context-sensitive adoption of digital tools. Key areas of focus of CDMC include: ● Quality: Leverage digital technology to improve treatment workflows and patient experience e.g., clinical quality measures, guideline adherence, patient engagement, AI/ML ● Affordability: Identify areas for cost reduction using digital health technology, data sharing, etc., to make care more affordable e.g., cost of care benchmarking ● Access: Leverage digital technology to improve access to high-quality care esp. in non-urban / rural areas e.g., telemedicine ● Productivity: Leverage digital tools & automation to improve the clinical & administrative workflows, reducing manual and redundant activities ● Best Practices: Identify and share best practices in digital technology across the world ● Training / Capacity Building: Develop selective program to groom OB-GYNs into digital health leaders through mentorship, projects, and exposure. ● Research & Development: Partner with Healthcare Startups, pharma/ healthcare companies, and other organizations to drive R&D, and to help monetize research in FOGSI Responsibilities of the CEO • Provide visionary leadership to define and execute the strategic roadmap of the FOGSI Digital Health Centre in alignment with FOGSI’s mission and priorities. • Develop and implement strategic plans, programs, and partnerships to accelerate digital health adoption among FOGSI’s 45,000+ members and affiliated institutions. • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team to execute the Centre’s initiatives and drive measurable impact. • Forge collaborations with digital health companies, healthcare providers, government agencies, and academic institutions to expand innovation and adoption. • Drive program design and implementation across areas such as EMRs/HIS, telemedicine, maternal–child health solutions, clinical decision support, and data analytics. •Ensure the quality, scalability, and sustainability of digital health programs and tools supported by FOGSI. • Establish strong monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track outcomes and assess impact. • Advocate for digital health adoption within the OBGYN community through awareness, training, and capacity-building programs. • Manage the financial health of the Centre, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. • Lead fundraising efforts to support large-scale strategic projects and ensure the Centre’s long term sustainability. Desired Profile • Senior healthcare leader with a minimum of 15 years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in Digital Health, healthcare management, or related areas. • Advanced degree in healthcare management, public health, business administration, or a related field desirable. • Proven leadership experience in a senior management role, preferably in healthcare, digital health, or healthcare consulting. • Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development. • Strong understanding of digital health technologies, healthcare delivery systems, and the maternal & newborn care ecosystem in India. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and clinicians • Financial acumen and prior experience in budgeting, fundraising, and managing large-scale programs.
