Introduction We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Technician – Plumbing to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems, including ETP (Effluent Treatment Plants), STP (Sewage Treatment Plants), RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems, and UF (Ultrafiltration) systems. The role involves hands-on technical work, working directly on electro-mechanical equipment and ensuring the smooth functioning of systems. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of plumbing, piping, and maintenance, with an ability to resolve onsite technical issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities 1. Installation & Commissioning Install and commission water and wastewater treatment systems, including ETP, STP, RO, and UF units. Perform plumbing and piping work related to system setup. Connect pipelines, fittings, pumps, valves, and other necessary components. Calibrate, align, and test equipment to ensure proper system performance. 2. Onsite Troubleshooting & Servicing Diagnose issues in water and wastewater treatment systems and resolve them promptly. Inspect and repair mechanical and electrical components such as pumps, motors, valves, and sensors. Respond to breakdown calls and ensure minimum downtime. Provide technical assistance to customers regarding system usage and basic maintenance. 3. Maintenance of Electro-Mechanical Equipment Regularly inspect, service, and maintain pumps, blowers, valves, dosing systems, and other components. Perform preventive maintenance to reduce unexpected equipment failures. Replace faulty parts and ensure systems are functioning optimally. Maintain accurate service logs and equipment maintenance records. 4. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance Ensure all installation and service work meets company standards and industry safety regulations. Follow proper safety measures when working with electrical panels, piping systems, and chemicals. Handle tools, equipment, and machinery with care to avoid accidents and damages. Conduct quality checks during and after installations to confirm proper functioning. 5. Documentation & Reporting Maintain service records, installation reports, and maintenance logs. Update the technical team and management about recurring issues and provide suggestions for improvements. Ensure proper tracking of spare parts usage and material requirements. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Strong knowledge of plumbing, piping layouts, and fittings. Understanding of water and wastewater treatment systems like ETP, STP, RO, and UF. Experience in handling electro-mechanical equipment and troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of electrical connections related to pumps, motors, and control panels. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals. Soft Skills Problem-Solving Skills: Quick thinking and effective diagnosis of technical problems. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy during installation, repairs, and maintenance. Customer Service Orientation: Ability to interact professionally with clients during onsite visits. Teamwork: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians. Time Management: Ability to handle multiple service calls and complete tasks on schedule. Educational Qualifications Preferred Qualification: ITI/Diploma in Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field. Candidates with experience but no formal qualification may also be considered. Experience Requirements Minimum Experience: 1 year of relevant work in plumbing, piping, or system installations. Experience: 1–2.5 years of experience in handling ETP, STP, RO, and UF systems.
