How will people produce, use, and manage energy in the future?

This is your question to answer.

We're partnering with one of Asia's most ambitious energy innovators - and they're looking for a Chief Design Officer to shape the full experience vision of tomorrow's energy systems.

You'll lead multidisciplinary teams across solar, grid, EV, and home energy, designing connected products and services that are as smart as they are inclusive - for both bustling cities and remote villages alike. This is about creating clarity, accessibility, and impact at scale.

What You'll Do

- Lead the end-to-end experience strategy for the full energy portfolio - from dashboards to devices, from apps to infrastructure.
- Design seamless ecosystems across physical and digital - including smart meters, solar controls, EV interfaces, and more.
- Integrate UX, Industrial Design, Service Design, and IoT into coherent, scalable systems.
- Use AI and automation to deliver effortless, intelligent experiences.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and policy stakeholders - and keep it all human.
- Create inclusive solutions for incredibly diverse user groups - rural to urban, analog to hyper-digital.
- Define standards, systems, and design principles that scale across teams and time.
- Anticipate what's next in energy - and design the future before it gets here.

What You Bring

- 15+ years in Product, UX, or Industrial Design - ideally with experience in energy, infrastructure, or sustainability.
- Deep experience in IoT-powered design - smart systems, real-time interfaces, and physical-digital hybrids.
- A strong handle on energy-specific UX: solar, grid, battery, mobility, automation.
- Proven track record launching hardware-software products at scale.
- Bold vision meets pragmatic execution - you know when to push and when to land the plane.
- Leadership experience across mixed-discipline teams and senior stakeholders.
- Based in or open to relocating to Mumbai (relocation support included).
