Are you an experienced network professional looking for an opportunity to work on some of Azures biggest challengesWe are the Azure Core team and we are looking for a Technical Principal PM Manager to join our team We are part of the Azure core engineering organization and consider great customer experiences critical to the overall success of Azure Our team builds the Azure Network Platform and services like Azure Virtual Network Azure VPN Azure Firewall Azure Private Link and other customer facing internal network and network security services We create define and lead product offerings that set our customers up for success empower them to solve problems and ensure they have a phenomenal experience As a Technical Principal PM Manager you will lead a team of Technical Program Managers to design and develop network platform services for Azure core platform You will be You will use your knowledge of networking to devise solutions that fulfil our customer promises Microsofts mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more As employees we come together with a growth mindset innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals Each day we build on our values of respect integrity and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond Responsibilities You will be responsible for coming up with vision strategy roadmap and organizational alignment for platform through research connecting with other product teams customers and partners You will use your leadership influence and organizational skills to communicate requirements and drive implementation across the many teams You will be engaging with engineering teams across Azure Core to align on dependencies and co-innovation You will measure and report on the success of the problem space through relevant metrics and KPIs You will be partnering with engineering to deliver impactful and innovative technologies As people manager coach guide and manage your team to achieve success in business objectives as well as supporting team members towards their career goals You will contribute to organizational alignment to Microsoft values and positive work culture Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor s Degree AND 6 years experience in engineering product technical program management data analysis or product development OR equivalent experience 4 years people management experience 3 years of experience managing cross-functional and or cross-team projects Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft customer and or government security screening requirements are required for this role These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings Microsoft Cloud Background Check This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire transfer and every two years thereafter Preferred Qualifications Bachelor s Degree AND 10 years experience in engineering product technical program management data analysis or product development OR equivalent experience 1 year s of experience reading and or writing code e g sample documentation product demos Deep knowledge of networking and application host platform concepts and implementation For example routing firewalls network design SDN SDWAN tunnelling NAT encryption protocols TLS SSH network monitoring SNMP etc Experience with Data analysis Including Excel Power Pivot Power BI Kusto Azure Data Explorer and SQL Gathering and transforming customer needs into an actionable product requirements definition Concisely frame problems conceptualize simple solutions and make decisions based on data and metrics with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment make quick decisions and understand the consequences Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age ancestry color family or medical care leave gender identity or expression genetic information marital status medical condition national origin physical or mental disability political affiliation protected veteran status race religion sex including pregnancy sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws regulations and ordinances If you need assistance and or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or the recruiting process please send a request via the azurecorejobs
