Short Description for Internal CandidatesThe Tooling Data Specialist TDS is focused on assuring Resideo s external tooling information for Plastic Injection Rubber Stamping tooling and mechanical tooling in general to meet the requirements of the tooling standard and the parts they produce meet the Quality requirements of Resideo by actively contacting external suppliers collecting data analyzing data and create plans for maintenance replacement etc The TDS assists the supply base in performance improvement though the use of the technical knowledge adequate use of process controls adherence to control plans and systematic problem solving processes In addition to this the TDS is tasked to support by sharing and creating better methods to pass information with other engineering or sourcing departments Description for Internal CandidatesThe Tooling Data Specialist TDS is focused on assuring Resideo s external tooling information for Plastic Injection Rubber Stamping tooling and mechanical tooling in general to meet the requirements of the tooling standard and the parts they produce meet the Quality requirements of Resideo by actively contacting external suppliers collecting data analyzing data and create plans for maintenance replacement etc The TDS assists the supply base in performance improvement though the use of the technical knowledge adequate use of process controls adherence to control plans and systematic problem solving processes In addition to this the TDS is tasked to support by sharing and creating better methods to pass information with other engineering or sourcing departments JOB DUTIES Actively contact suppliers to request information about tool condition Input the information to the Resideo Tooling DataBase in an organized and accurate way Work with the Database Development Team to improve the Tableau Database Viewer Must be able to assess tool condition based on experience Suggest methods to repair and estimate necessary time to perform repairs and refurbishment Coordinate with the suppliers until task is completed Interact with cross functional teams to achieve tooling milestones such as scheduled tool refurbishings and urgent tool repairs Capable of being proactive but also proficiently reactive when needed Continue to expand knowledge to maintain expertise and be an expert for Sourcing Engineering and Marketing teams for assigned commodities Liaison with Commodity Managers Program Managers Quality Engineers Design Engineers -
