Our mission is to make sustainability measurable, actionable, and scalable for every organization. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to ESG research, data-driven analysis, and sustainability benchmarking in one of India's leading climate ventures. Role Overview As an ESG Researcher, you will support the development of Bharat Carbon's sustainability intelligence platform by researching ESG frameworks, sectoral benchmarks, and corporate disclosure practices. You will work closely with the product, design, and development teams to transform qualitative ESG insights into actionable metrics for clients and partners. Key Responsibilities ESG Data Research & Analysis - Collect and analyze data inputs from sustainability standards and frameworks such as SASB, CBAM, IFRS S1 & S2, and CCTS. - Correlate data inputs to output dashboards by defining and documenting the calculation framework. - Develop business requirement documents (BRDs) including business rules and acceptance criteria for the design and development teams. Benchmarking & Framework Development - Research global ESG trends, regulations, and sectoral benchmarks. - Compare ESG performance across industries and identify best practices. - Update and enhance internal frameworks based on the latest ESG standards. Knowledge & Insight Creation - Draft briefing notes and research summaries on emerging ESG policies. - Support report writing, data visualization, and content for ESG dashboards or whitepapers. - Collaborate with design and marketing teams to communicate research findings clearly. Who You Are - A sustainability enthusiast with strong knowledge of ESG principles and reporting frameworks. - Skilled in research, data organization, and clear documentation. - Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets, Word, PowerPoint, and research tools. - Familiar with ChatGPT or similar AI tools for drafting or analysis. - Curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to work in a fast-growing climate-tech environment.
