Job Title Safety Officer Location Bhilai Steel Plant BSP Bhilai Salary Range 18 000 - 20 000 per month Experience Required Minimum 3 years in any industrial site or BSP site Role Overview The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring and improving the safety performance at Bhilai Steel Plant The role includes ensuring compliance with all safety rules reducing workplace hazards and promoting a strong safety culture among workers and contractors Responsibilities Implement and follow BSP safety standards and procedures at the worksite Carry out routine inspections to identify unsafe conditions unsafe acts and potential hazards Conduct safety induction programs for new workers and regular toolbox talks Supervise high-risk activities like hot work working at heights heavy lifting and confined space operations Ensure availability and proper use of safety equipment and PPE Document safety violations prepare monthly safety reports and maintain all safety records Assist in accident incident investigations and recommend preventive actions Coordinate with supervisors engineers and contractors to ensure safe work practices Support emergency planning fire safety checks and mock drills Qualifications 10 2 Higher Secondary Passed ITI in any trade Safety Officer Certificate Diploma in Industrial Safety Minimum 3 years of safety experience in an industrial environment Good knowledge of safety regulations risk assessment and permit-to-work system Skills Required Strong communication and leadership skills Good observation and reporting ability Knowledge of safety tools PPE and emergency procedures Ability to train and guide workers on safe work practices Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 18 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person
