Company Overview Schneider Electric is a global leader in energy management and automation committed to providing innovative solutions that ensure Life Is On everywhere for everyone and at every moment We are expanding our team in Gurugram and looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to enhance our cloud capabilities and drive the integration of digital technologies in our operations As a Senior Cloud Architect at Schneider Electric you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing cloud-based solutions across our global infrastructure with a primary focus on Azure This position requires a blend of strategic architectural design and practical hands-on ability to implement and manage complex cloud environments specifically for large scale data or order of billions of data points per day and large-scale management 100s of thousands of devices deployed in the field Key Responsibilities Design and implement secure scalable and robust cloud architectures primarily for built environment with timeseries data Lead the migration of existing legacy cloud infrastructures to modern cloud-based platforms ensuring seamless integration and minimal downtime Support for hosting and configuration of critical services like Kafka Timeseries DB Enhancement of the scalable data and event pipeline across the stack Architectural design for convergence of different offers into a single unified offer for Small and Mid-Size Buildings Develop and deploy microservices architectures actively participating in coding and development when necessary Manage the full lifecycle of deployment from architecture design through integration and maintenance Support for performance testing of critical infrastructure components both existing and planned revamp Guide and mentor teams in developing modern cloud solutions fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cloud computing to keep Schneider Electric at the forefront of technological innovation Requirements Experience 10 - 15 years of overall experience in software engineering 5 years in architect role for a cloud-based software product platform with a proven track record of deploying cloud solutions in a large-scale environment supporting billions of data points per day Technical ExpertiseMust Have Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure is essential AWS knowledge is a significant plus Strong experience in taking cost-conscious architectural decisions of using native services vs self-hosted services Experience with Kafka including performance tuning of a hosted Kafka instance Experience with event driven architecture Experience with performance evaluation of different architectural options Hands-on experience with microservices containerization and Kubernetes AKS Openshift Hands-on experience with different databases Redis Mongodb Postgresql Proficiency in programming languages such as Python Java and C Good to have Experience with timeseries database e g InfluxDB or timescale will be an added plus Experience with configurable dashboard platforms will be a plus Experience with Kafka Streams Experience in building Data Pipelines Experience in Architecting Data Analytics system that convert raw data into actionable insights Experience in building CI CD pipelines with Github CI Argo CD Jenkins etc Tools Project Management Hands on experience of Atlassian Jira Confluence Cloud GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps Experienced professional working in Agile Scrum Kanban and Scaled Agile SAFe mode Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences Good judgment time management and decision-making skills Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills ability to communicate and thrive in a cross-functional environment Willingness to work outside documented job description Has a whatever is needed attitude Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in computer science Information Technology or related field Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Prior experience in the energy sector or industrial automation is advantageous Schedule Full-time Req 0093CS
