The Electrician is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment across university buildings and infrastructure This role ensures compliance with all applicable safety regulations and supports a safe and functional environment for students faculty and staff Key Responsibilities Perform routine inspections maintenance and repairs on electrical systems wiring fixtures and equipment in classrooms labs residences and other university facilities Diagnose and resolve electrical issues including power outages faulty wiring and malfunctioning devices Install new electrical systems and upgrades as needed for construction or renovation projects Read and interpret blueprints technical diagrams and electrical code specifications Maintain logs of work performed and materials used Ensure all work complies with national and local electrical codes safety regulations and university policies Coordinate with contractors vendors and other tradespeople as required Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues Participate in scheduled on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance coverage if required Assist in planning and estimating costs for electrical projects Maintain inventory of electrical supplies and request replacements as needed Job Type Full-time Pay 8 086 00 - 12 000 00 per month Work Location In person
