Development Lead within the Research and Development Sciences RaDS IT Team at our organization you will enable capabilities that help scientists operate and execute experiments utilizing their day-to-day operational and transactional solutions that facilitate the research process What will you do in this role Collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to identify and suggest enhancements to existing applications contributing to improved performance and reduced technical debt Work with cross-functional teams to support the integration of science and technology assisting in the creation of user-friendly products that provide significant business value to our researchers Assist in the design and implementation of cloud-based systems while adhering to established technology governance and compliance standards Monitor application performance metrics and help make necessary adjustments to improve system availability and performance Support the development and improvement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery CI CD pipelines to expedite development cycles and ensure consistent software releases Collaborate with technical teams to assist in system integrations help configure SaaS solutions support the modernization of legacy applications and produce necessary technical documentation such as architecture diagrams Be open to occasional international travel as product demands arise What Should you have 5 years of experience in IT with ability to architect engineer optimize and maintain software solutions to solve complex scientific problems Minimum of a bachelor s degree in a scientific or technical discipline such as computer science engineering biology chemistry etc Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not mandatory Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms is a plus Familiarity with software development lifecycle SDLC processes CI CD practices and Agile methodologies Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Experience working across Research Discovery Pre-Clinical and or Clinical Business areas Experience with Entity Registration and Inventory Sample Management capabilities Understanding of Laboratory Application and Vendor Landscape Experience with platforms such as Power BI Power Platform or DataBricks Familiarity with the latest AI technologies and services such as Azure OpenAI Our technology teams operate
