Role Overview:

As the Head of Data, you will lead and scale our Data Engineering and Analytics functions. You will be responsible for building a high-performing team, driving the data vision, ensuring cost efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making across STAGE.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

- Define and drive the data vision, strategy, and roadmap for STAGE.
- Lead Data Engineering and Analytics teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and impactful data platforms.
- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing data team through effective hiring, feedback, and career development.

Execution & Delivery

- Oversee the entire data lifecycle: collection, storage, processing, governance, and visualization.
- Deliver accurate, timely insights and enable self-service analytics across teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives.

Operational Excellence

- Manage budgets and optimize infrastructure and tool costs.
- Establish best practices for data quality, privacy, compliance, and security.
- Build scalable reporting frameworks and ensure operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as a trusted partner to leadership, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Align data priorities with overall business objectives.

Desired Skills & Experience:

- 10+ years of overall experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or related domains.
- Minimum 3 years of proven leadership experience managing data teams.
- Hands-on foundation as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst.
- Strong experience in hiring, mentoring, and team growth.
- Expertise in cost management, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment.
- Experience with modern data stacks: cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), data warehousing (Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift), and analytics tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
