Hiring for SQL DBA- Bangalore Chennai Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Database Administrator DBA to join our IT team The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and performance of critical SQL Server databases ensuring high levels of availability and security You will also be involved in planning and development as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users Key Responsibilities Install configure and maintain SQL Server databases Monitor system performance and ensure database performance availability and reliability Perform database tuning and optimization using SQL Profiler and other tools Develop and maintain database security standards and procedures Create and manage database backup and recovery strategies Implement and maintain replication mirroring clustering and Always On availability groups Perform regular system upgrades patching and updates Create and manage database documentation including data dictionaries and architecture diagrams Collaborate with development teams to support database design and query optimization Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner Ensure compliance with data governance and data security policies Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field 3 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or similar role Strong understanding of database structure theories principles and practices Experience with SQL Server versions 2016 2019 2022 Proficiency in T-SQL and stored procedure development Experience with performance tuning and optimization Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery HA DR options Experience with tools like SQL Profiler SSMS RedGate etc Familiarity with Windows Server environments and Active Directory
