Job Category Fire Safety About Business Adani Group Adani Group is a diversified organisation in India comprising 10 publicly traded companies It has created a world-class logistics and utility infrastructure portfolio that has a pan-India presence Adani Group is headquartered in Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat India Over the years Adani Group has positioned itself to be the market leader in its logistics and energy businesses focusing on large-scale infrastructure development in India with O M practices benchmarked to global standards With four IG-rated businesses it is the only Infrastructure Investment Grade issuer in India Job Purpose To lead strategize and oversee fire safety policies and compliance across all group businesses ensuring risk mitigation regulatory adherence and innovation in fire safety practices while fostering a culture of safety and resilience JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lead- Fire Safety Strategic Roles and Responsibilities Understand Adani s overall strategy and plan for the Fire and Safety function and provides inputs for strategy formulation with the aim of supporting functional goals Establish and implement a comprehensive fire safety strategy aligned with the group s longterm vision and operational goals across all the Adani businesses Evaluate and integrate businessspecific fire safety requirements into groupwide frameworks ensuring contextual relevance and scalability Drive periodic reviews with business heads to assess the alignment of fire safety measures with organizational priorities Risk Management and Mitigation Develop and operationalize a risk assessment framework for identifying evaluating and mitigating firerelated risks across diverse industries Establish protocols for continuous monitoring of fire risks including highrisk industries such as manufacturing logistics and infrastructure Deploy risk control measures tailored to businessspecific needs ensuring minimal disruption to operations Crisis and Incident Management Design implement and test groupwide fire emergency response and incident management plans to ensure preparedness for critical situations Lead crossfunctional crisis management teams during fire emergencies ensuring a coordinated response and safeguarding lives and assets Oversee postincident investigations ensuring comprehensive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures Compliance and Governance for All Group Businesses Ensure compliance with national and international fire safety regulations across all group businesses maintaining a centralized compliance dashboard that can be shared with leadership team Audit fire safety measures and systems to identify gaps ensure adherence and recommend improvements across businesses tailored to thier secotral needs Represent the group in regulatory forums advocating for policies and standards that align with business needs Drive standardization of fire safety compliance across businesses ensuring seamless reporting and transparency Research and Innovation Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies in fire prevention detection and suppression Lead pilots for innovative fire safety solutions such as IoTenabled sensors or AIbased risk prediction Establish R D initiatives to continuously enhance fire safety standards and practices Key Stakeholders - Internal Group Security Team Plant Site Security Heads Adani Environment Health Safety and Governance AESG Team IT and Digital Transformation Teams Technocommercial Team Key Stakeholders - External Law Enforcement Agencies Third Party Service Providers Security Agencies Emergency Response Services Government Regulatory Bodies Legal Consultant Industry Asscociations and Security Forums Vendor and Solution Providers System Integrators Audit Firms Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed fire safety audits for Industrial Commercial and high-rise business buildings to evaluate compliance with fire safety regulations Act and standards Identify potential fire hazards and assess fire risks within various environments Review and analyze fire safety plans evacuation procedures and fire protection systems Prepare comprehensive audit reports including findings recommendations and corrective actions Advise businesses on fire safety improvements and best practices Collaborate with facility managers safety officers and other stakeholders to implement fire safety measures Stay updated with the latest fire safety regulations codes and industry standards Provide training and guidance on fire safety practices and emergency response procedures Participate in fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises to assess effectiveness and suggest improvements Ensure documentation and records are maintained accurately and up-to-date Conduct design review of various fire safety related projects and provide comments as per existing standards of IS NBC and NFPA Develop and iterate the fire safety SOPs and governance structure at group level to ensure compliance monitoring through businesses Qualifications Qualifications Skills Degree relevant to fire safety from renowned institution Certifications in Fire Safety Audit ISO 45001 Certifications viz NEBOSH Fire Safety NFPA CFPS CFI is desired and will be preferred Minimum 12 years of continuous experience in fire safety management fire safety audits Compliance Fire Protection System or related fields In-depth knowledge of National Fire Safety Codes and standards including the National Building Code of India and BIS standards Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and report-writing abilities Attention to detail and ability to work independently Flexible to undertake additional roles and responsibilities as per requirement
