CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Software Engineer II, Mobile who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better Responsibilities: - Implement technical specifications provided by senior developers without substantial guidance - Participate in code and design reviews - Design and build mobile application - Assist in solving complex problems and transform them into business solutions - Implement software solutions that are easily understood by others, reliable and testable - Follow company defined development and operational standards and processes - Complete any additional tasks as they arise Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in a related field - 2+ years of relevant development experience - Experience with different application architectures such as Model-View-Controller, MVVM, and VIPER - Experience building adaptive user interfaces - Understanding of Agile development methodologies (specifically SCRUM) - Experience consuming and/or designing REST APIs is highly desirable - Experience building Android or iOS mobile applications - Experience with automated testing techniques (e.g. unit tests, integration tests) - Hard skills required for Android developers: - Proficient in both Java and Kotlin with a strong understanding of concurrency concepts - Familiarity with Android JetPack libraries - Experience with Kotlin coroutines and flows - Familiarity with third-party Android libraries like RxJava, Dagger 2, and Retrofit - Familiarity with Gradle build system for Android - Hard skills required for iOS focused developers: - Proficient in both Swift and Objective-C with a strong understanding of concurrency concepts - Familiarity with iOS Frameworks and development using XCode - Experience with Combine and SwiftUI - Familiarity with third-party iOS libraries - Familiarity with cocoapods or Swift Package Manager Nice to Haves: - Experience adhering to official UX design guidelines from Apple and Google - Experience developing and delivering SDKs - Experience working with mobile sensors and location services - User level knowledge of issue tracking systems (specifically Jira, Mavenlink) - Experience with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics - Investigation and issue analysis from logs: SumoLogic - Instrumentation and correlation tracking/statistics with Datadog, Grafana Compensation and Benefits: - Fair and competitive salary based on skills and experience - Equity may be awarded in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) - Medical Benefits (Health insurance, Personal accident insurance, Group term life insurance), gratuity, parental leave, sick leave and public holidays - Employees are eligible for flexible allowances which includes Leave Travel Assistance, Telephone/Mobile Expenses, Professional development expenses, Meals Coupon, Vehicle Reimbursement - Flexible scheduling and work from home policy depending on role and responsibilities Additional Perks: - Feel great working to improve road safety around the world - Join one of our many employee resource groups including Black, AAPI, LGBTQIA+, Women, Book Club and Health & Wellness - Extensive education and employee assistance programs - CMT will do all that is possible to support our employees and create a positive and inclusive work environment for all Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion: At CMT, we believe the best ideas come from a mix of backgrounds and perspectives.
