Reporting to - Plant Head Working Days - 6 days - Monday to Saturday Responsibilities: Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost. Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction. Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of production demand. Works with plant, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up import and domestic logistics. Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital. Works with freight forwarders and transportation companies to set the best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements). Collaborates with the procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation. Works directly with the sales department to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers. Supports proper utilization of ERP systems. Member of the operations staff, responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary. Skills and Attributes: Excellent data analysis and logical thinking skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with international vendors (China, Vietnam, USA) Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional, cross-cultural team members Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills Excellent organizing and follow-up skills Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making Commercial and Financial acumen You must have the below basic requirements: B.Tech/Masters in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics engineering. Masters with specialization in Business / Supply chain is also an advantage. 10+ years of experience in Material planning / Supply chain management.
