Job Description

- Data Exploration & Modeling: Identify and model the data in order to create reporting infrastructure / dashboards for business process management. There would be a need to explore different data sets to identify the true-source and granularity and the models created would be of moderate to advanced complexity.
- Data analysis: Deep-dive various data sources for financial analysis, root causes, and uncover new patterns to support key financial decisions across the organization
- Reporting Ops: Prepare reports at regular and defined cadences, as well as conduct ad-hoc data mining and analysis to drive managerial decisions and focused improvement efforts
- Storytelling: Present recommendations and insights of various analysis to key stakeholders in the most compelling manner to influence decision making
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, multiple systems, and data engineering teams to participate actively in discussions involving dashboards, data decisions, deploying reporting systems and optimal ways of utilizing the key metrics to identify improvement opportunities etc. for the organization.
- Defining objectives & timelines:In cross-functional teams, make sure task completion timelines are estimated accurately and communicated. Prioritize BI tasks and share the necessary insights in the relevant swimlanes. Track program metrics and ensure that all programs are providing the business benefit as outlined in the original business case for the project. Represent the needs of the business, function, or region on an ongoing basis to drive process improvements.
- Process adherence: Establish and adhere to processes which are consistent with overall organization objectives and maintains process documentation

Heres what we are looking for:

- Data querying skills using SQL / Python or working knowledge of Metabase will be essential
- Advanced level quantitative analytical skills including statistical techniques forClustering analysis, Financial data modeling, forecasting, etc. through the use of R or Python will be preferred
- Strong business acumen & sound understanding of financial systems (especially SAP and its data models) and processes
- Strong working knowledge on BI tools like Qlik, Tableau or Power BI
- Superior communication and storytelling skills (both written and verbal)

You bring to Ather:

- A masters / bachelors in Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Data Science / Business
- 5 - 7 years of working experience in the financial analytics field in a data-driven company or function
