Design piping systems of marine vessels and offshore drilling rigs Equipment sizing and selection Preparation and review of P IDs Preparation and review of Piping and Mechanical layouts Review of third party drawings Coordinates with customer vendors and operations supply chain etc Train and develop subordinates Basic Engineering Detailed Engineering Preparation of technical specification documents for project tasks Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Structural Engineers Electrical Engineers drafting engineers Understanding customer requirements and work closely with the all engineering teams from technology development concept development Estimating the project timelines and complete assigned projects on time with adhering to engineering standards Process Participate and present with critical design changes concept reviews other technical discussion with engineering team Prepare list of deliverables with manhour estimation for performing project tasks Skills Should have skill and strong experience in below areas o Strong experience in Piping and Mechanical systems of marine vessels and offshore rigs o Strong knowledge of various surface equipment and systems present on the rigs - jackups semi-sumersibles and drillships o Perform Piping system design and modeling both static and dynamic including stress analysis and flow analysis o Pressure vessel design and review o Piping material selection o Pipe Fabrication and installation drawings o 3-D Modelling ISO and spool drawing generation o Preparation of purchase specifications technical evaluation of quotations o Should be conversant with these codes standards ASME B31 3 API 6A o Piping stress analysis o Pipe flow calculations o Pipe Support design o Pump Selection o Equipment datasheet preparations o Skid Design and analysis for new equipment installation o Project coordination with multi-disciplinary team Deliverable Data Quality Check Project management - Prepare statement of work project plan risk management plan risk mitigation document Should have excellent Presentation communication and interpersonal skills Should be conversant with the major international codes used in marine vessels like IMO MARPOL SOLAS LSA FSA Should be conversant with Marine systems and Equipment selection concept and related code Class requirements ABS MODU DNV etc Softwares skills Should have expertise in below technical softwares o Pipe-Flo Professional o AutoCAD L T Technology Services
