Job Description Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager - Reinsurance Operations (Assumed & Ceded) Responsibilities: - Technical Accounting & Processing - Handle end-to-end processing of technical statements of account (SoA) for premiums, claims, and risk transactions across all reinsurance businesses - Contract Setup & Interpretation - Review and interpret reinsurance contracts, wordings, and slips to accurately set up treaty and facultative agreements in operational systems - Financial Booking & Reconciliation - Record and reconcile financial transactions related to premiums, claims, recoveries, and brokerage in accordance with contract terms and accounting policies - Reinsurance Calculations - Perform complex calculations including reinstatement premiums, profit commissions, sliding scale adjustments, and no-claims bonuses - Cash & Receivables Management - Manage unallocated cash and aged receivable clearance, ensuring timely identification, matching, and resolution of outstanding items - Stakeholder & Broker Engagement - Liaise with brokers, reinsurers, and internal finance/underwriting teams to resolve data discrepancies and maintain accurate records - Reporting & Controls - Support management and regulatory reporting needs, maintain audit trails, and ensure compliance with internal controls and reinsurance governance standards - Continuous Improvement & Controls - Strengthen process controls, identify automation opportunities, and drive consistency and efficiency across Reinsurance operations Minimum Qualifications: - Graduate / Postgraduate in any stream - Relevant years of experience in managing Reinsurance Operations processes - Proven experience within Re-Insurance domain preferably Assumed business - Experience in working with SICS system would be added advantage Preferred Skill Set: - Thorough knowledge of Insurance / Reinsurance business - Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) - Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) - Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management - Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail - Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative - Strong time management skills - Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information - - - - -
