Job Description Job Description Position Overview The Project Head (Piping) will lead large-scale, multi-site engineering and infrastructure projects from concept to commissioning. The role requires managing end-to-end execution of complex assignments involving stainless steel piping systems, HVAC installations, clean room environments, and specialized process industry infrastructure. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, this is a high-urgency role demanding strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical execution capabilities. ---------------------------------------- Key Position Details Aspect Details Total Experience 15 years in Project Execution & Management Base Location Mumbai (Central Line preferred - Dadar) Project Sites Navi Mumbai & nearby regions Work Schedule 6 days/week (Sunday off) or as per project demand Travel 3-4 days/week for site visits Reporting To Senior Vice President Team Size 4-5 Deputy Managers Project Load Managing 8-10 concurrent projects Interview Rounds 2 (Technical Panel - F2F + MD) Position Type Permanent Urgency High ---------------------------------------- Candidate Requirements Education - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory) - PMP Certification (Strong Advantage) Technical Experience (15+ Years) - Stainless Steel Piping Systems (Must-Have): Welding, installation, pressure testing, corrosion-resistant material selection - Process Industry Projects: Pharma, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Semiconductor - Clean Room Infrastructure: ISO-compliant design, installation, commissioning - HVAC Expertise: AHUs, PSE chillers, cooling towers, refrigeration systems - Multi-Site Project Management: Handling 8+ simultaneous complex projects - Vendor/Contractor Management: Specialized contractors, QC, compliance - Data Centre Cooling (Preferred): Precision cooling, redundancy systems - Project Management Tools: Advanced MS Project & Primavera usage - Welding Codes & QA Standards: Inspection protocols and compliance Core Competencies - Strong leadership with experience managing senior teams - Client-facing and high-level stakeholder management - Technical troubleshooting and engineering problem-solving - Budgeting, cost control, and collections follow-up - Quality assurance, commissioning, and regulatory compliance - Excellent verbal and written communication skills ---------------------------------------- Roles & Responsibilities 1. Project Management & Execution - Lead end-to-end execution of 8-10 concurrent projects - Develop project schedules (Gantt charts) using MS Project/Primavera - Oversee installation of stainless-steel piping systems per specifications - Supervise flushing, coolant cleaning, pressure testing & commissioning - Monitor project budgets, timelines, manpower, and risk mitigation plans 2. Technical Oversight - Supervise installation of AHUs and PSE chillers for clean room & data centre applications - Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards - Conduct inspections at critical milestones to maintain quality - Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate resolution with engineering teams 3. Stakeholder Coordination - Interface with clients, internal departments, and external consultants - Present project progress and challenges to the Senior VP - Manage contractors/vendors and resolve performance gaps - Handle client escalations and ensure customer satisfaction 4. Team Leadership - Lead and mentor 4-5 Deputy Managers - Delegate tasks effectively and ensure execution quality - Conduct performance evaluations and support team development 5. Financial & Administrative - Drive project billing, payment collection, and financial reconciliation - Support commercial decision-making and vendor negotiations
