Role Overview We are seeking a passionate Generative AI Expert who will design, develop, and deploy GenAI-powered solutions across Masai s learning and operational platforms. This role will be central to embedding AI into the student learning experience, content generation, and internal tools, helping us deliver truly adaptive and impactful education. Key Responsibilities - Research, design, and implement GenAI models (LLMs, diffusion models, etc.) to solve education-focused challenges. - Build and fine-tune AI systems for applications such as Personalized learning journeys, Automated content generation (quizzes, assignments, learning material), AI-driven code review and feedback systems, Student support chatbots and teaching assistants. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and curriculum teams to identify opportunities for GenAI integration. - Evaluate and deploy APIs/tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.) to accelerate development. - Ensure responsible AI usage by embedding ethical considerations, accuracy checks, and bias mitigation. - Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and guide the leadership team on technology strategy. Required Skills & Experience - 3+ years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 1-2 years hands-on in Generative AI / LLM applications. - Strong knowledge of NLP, deep learning, and transformer-based architectures (GPT, BERT, LLaMA, etc.). - Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and libraries like Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex. - Experience in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and deploying LLMs at scale. - Knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS) and RAG pipelines. - Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to translate education/business needs into AI solutions. - Startup experience or ability to thrive in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment. Good to Have - Experience with MLOps tools (Weights & Biases, MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes). - Prior work on edtech, learning platforms, or assessment systems. - Contributions to open-source GenAI projects.
