Job Description Purpose of Role To lead the academic and administrative functions of the school, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment. Role Definition A frontline Leader for the CAS programs (Dance, Music, Arts and Drama) with the responsibility of driving the Academic Goals to the students and taking care of their co-curricular aspirations and needs. Responsibility Deliverable - Delivering the Curriculum - Academic Operations - Student Support - People and Resource Management Tasks & Activities - Delivering the Curriculum - In charge of curriculum implementation as per directions of the Principal. - Plan and understand the devised curriculum and the academic goals. Convert or cascade the same to practical actionable items for the teachers to deliver. - Develop, clear, teacher specific academic goals for teachers and provide support to them with necessary resource materials and guidance in achieving these goals. - Conduct regular collaborative meetings, stay back to monitor and ascertain the progress made and guide the teachers who need help with the help of Principals. - Actively contribute to the Curriculum planning by gathering intelligence and feedbacks and create a database and evidences that will help support to provide feedback to the Principal and CAS team in designing and implementing a relevant, challenging and rigorous curriculum. - Operational In-charge - Liaise with teachers in formation of daily timetable. - Ensure that the Teachers and the students are present and punctual for the day, timetable is being followed and substitution is put in place for absentees. - Supervise, guide and support the teachers on their day-to-day routines, - Ensure that the teachers are keeping accurate and complete records and conduct class observation. - Assist Principal in preparing the school dairy events, holidays, teacher records, report cards and other academic records. - Ensure the school happenings are in progress as per the rules laid down and Report to the Principal on regular basis. - Manage and approve the attendances of the teachers and also take care of their work-related needs and their emotional and professional wellbeing. - Ensuring that the campus language, reminder system, disciplinary policy, culture and ethos are followed. - Responsible for organising and conducting cultural events involving CAS programs in collaboration and discussion with Principal. - Responsible in preparing event budget forms in collaboration with Principal and submitting for the approval to the management. - Supporting the STUDENTS - Being accountable for the academic, social and emotional wellbeing of children under your purview - Track student progress, set systems in place to identify the gaps and provide support. - Ensure each child is given attention and given equal opportunity to perform. - Motivate the teachers to develop progressive personalized goals for each student depending on the student's capacity and ensure that the progression is carried out. - Encourage students to give feedback on their academic needs and try to support it with the help of the teacher. - People Management & Resource Management - Assist the HR / Principal in recruiting and training the faculty - Ensure optimal workload and work utilization for every teacher - Appropriate numbers of staff are to be maintained. Both staff numbers and workload should be ideal. Not extremely high or very little. - Identify the Training Needs for each staff, communicate the same to Principal /PDC and ensure the particular teacher is attending the same. - Create a positive work climate where the teachers are satisfied personally and professionally. Always look out for teachers who are getting saturated and have an alternate plan for them. - Communicate and orient the academic goals to the respective teachers in the year beginning and conduct class observations. - Assess, identify the support or training areas for individual teachers and suggest a professional development plan for every one of them to the Principal / PDC. - Always ensure the team is always up-to-date, trained and working at an optimal level. - Ensure that the resources and facilities provided by the school are used and not lying ideal. - Ensure care and respect in using and maintaining these resources. - Safety, health and hygiene of staff and students are of prime importance. Always be on looking for factor disturbing these and take or provide assistance to Facility /Admin Department in clearing the disturbances - Without the approval of Principal, no student work should be shared in social media Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Staff Retention at 90% - 100% Staff Training as per Training Policy (training log and attendance for training) - 100% Adherence to Punctuality and Working hours policy - Minimum 2 class observation of each teacher in a term and submit the observation report to Principal (July to November) - Participate in Minimum 4 Interschool Competitions covering at least one in every area of CAS - Effective coordination and conduction of cultural events - Ensure the planner templates are followed for planning and implementation of the curriculum - Budget to be submitted prior to any event and approvals sought at least 7 working days in advance Skill - Communication Clarity and Clear - Critical Thinking, Inquiring - Goal Setting - Team Building - Task Manager - Listening - Analytical - Self-Management Knowledge - Curriculum and Board - IT - Latest Trends in Education Traits - Principled - Accommodative and Reflective - Assertive and Flexible - Honesty and Integrity - Positive Role model - Empathetic - Diplomacy - Humility Motives - Self-Development and Growth - Student Welfare Values - Values matching with the Mission of the TIPS - Commitment and Passion ISP Commitment to Safeguarding Principles ISP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
