SYSTRA has completed 17,000+ Square kilometer of Statutory Master Planning and 15+ City Development Plans (CDPs). We are seeking applications for the position of Environmental expert for Zonal Development Plans for eastern part of India. Missions/Main Duties: - Environmental Assessment & Planning: Prepare strategic environmental plans, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and Environmental Management Plans (EMP) for zonal development projects. - Environmental Studies: Conduct and oversee comprehensive environmental assessment studies related to area development projects. - Team Leadership: Act as Team Leader or Key Expert for environmental aspects of the project, ensuring best practices and compliance with regulatory requirements. - Infrastructure Service Planning: Provide expertise in the environmental planning of essential urban services, including water supply, sewerage, drainage, solid waste management, and power. - Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all environmental plans and activities comply with local, state, and national environmental regulations and guidelines. - Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, government agencies, and stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into development plans. - Reporting & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, assessment summaries, and presentations of environmental findings and recommendations. - Capacity Building: Guide and build the capacity of team members and stakeholders in environmental best practices and project requirements. Profile/Skills: - Postgraduate Degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Science from an accredited college or university. - Minimum 5 years of experience in preparing strategic environmental plans, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Environmental Management Plans. - Proven experience as Team Leader or Key Expert in environmental assessment studies for area development projects. - Experience in planning of services such as water supply, sewerage, drainage, solid waste disposal, and power. - In-depth knowledge of environmental planning, policies, and regulatory frameworks - Proficiency in conducting EIAs, EMPs, and strategic environmental planning - Experience with urban utility services planning and environmental safeguards : We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency.
