Job Description Emergent Risk International (ERI) is seeking to hire a full-timeRegional Intelligence Lead-APACto be embedded on an annual contract with one of our multinational technology clients. The Regional Lead will have experience working in threat monitoring for a public or private sector entity and will lead the APAC team, part of a global 24/7/365 threat monitoring team. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid capacity, with at least 3 days a week ONSITE at our client's office.The role is based in Noida, New Delhi. This is not a Cybersecurity role. ERI operates five lines of business: - Assessment and Analysis:We provide our clients daily, subscription-based and bespoke geopolitical and threat intelligence services. - Training:We train intelligence analysts to serve effectively in corporate environments. Our training focuses on tradecraft and tools that drive more efficient and effective analysis. We offer a range of in-house and open training courses to address specific levels of experience and need. - Online Platform:We offer a subscription-based online portal that provides a workspace environment for security intelligence analysts, combining ERI's expert analysis with hundreds of curated datasets and our suite of data visualization tools. - Consulting:We help companies develop and improve their intelligence programs, providing end-to-end support; from assessing needs and providing analysis to recruiting and hiring highly qualified candidates. - Embedded Analyst Services:We support our clients with embedded analysts, full- and part-time, short- and long-term. Our embedded analysts work directly for our clients, allowing them the benefit of employing intelligence professionals trained to ERI's strict standards of competency and continually professionally developed by ERI's senior leadership, armed with access to ERI's proprietary tools and deep backbench of in-house subject matter experts. The Position: This role requires an individual with deep knowledge and experience in security and intelligence as it applies to the private sector. Experience in threat monitoring, operating threat monitoring tools and working in a Security Operations position is required. The individual will have a sense of urgency around monitoring global events and develop a keen awareness of which types of events - geographically and from a business perspective - are of actual importance to the client. Primary responsibilities: Oversee the daily operation of a team of a threat intelligence monitoring team based in the APAC region while collaborating and cooperating with a global team. Serve as the team's senior analyst and reviewer, providing quality control including ensuring factual and grammar accuracy in all written reports, alerts and intelligence products. Manage the scheduling, training and mentoring of APAC threat monitoring analysts Backfill for threat monitors out on PTO or sick leave, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed to ensure no gaps in 24/7/365 coverage. Triage global incidents by collecting information, analyzing, and assessing the incident, adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures and the Trigger Matrix, and issuing Awareness/Advisory alerts. Conduct regional threat monitoring and research according to defined parameters. Develop and maintain a deep knowledge base of sources including OSINT, social media, client databases, sources and archives. Quick to verify real-time news as it happens and be able to write a concise and accurate business report to be distributed within minutes to key stakeholders. Support crisis communications including verbal briefings as events dictate. Develop and maintain deep, current subject matter expertise of geopolitical and threat issues in assigned areas of responsibility in alignment with client risks and threat concerns/interests. Learn to and regularly create data visualizations to convey analytical information and insight relevant to client needs. Work closely with other regional leads, global lead and ERI management to ensure best in class service and products across the team's product line and responsibilities. Successfully complete any other approved professional development and training relevant to project mission and job duties. Other taskings and administrative duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: - At least four to five years experience as a risk intelligence analyst in a GSOC or equivalent environment, whether having served in the private or public sector, with a demonstrated track record of steadily expanded responsibilities. - Bachelor's degree in intelligence, international relations, business administration, journalism or related field. - Excellent writing and editing skills, demonstrable ability to write concise reports suitable for a corporate executive audience. - Prior leadership experience, especially in a fast paced, detail-oriented security or intelligence environment. - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. - Excellent critical thinking skills that bolster both analytic work and suitability for serving in a lead client-facing role. - Able to meet analytic deadlines and quick-thinking and responsiveness during crisis events. - Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data and information. - Willingness to work onsite at client office, as role requires regular team collaboration and access to sensitive corporate information. - Superior research/OSINT skills. - Ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and prioritize accordingly. - A strong commitment to ethical private sector intelligence practices and ability to maintain confidentiality around security specific information. - Must be able to work flexible schedule as required. - Must pass a background check including prior employment and education credentials. Remuneration:This role will be a full-time (40 hours per week) hourly paid position involving working 8-hour Monday through Friday India business hours but with flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed to ensure no gaps in coverage.
